Mindfulness for Wellbeing

It can be described as coming out of the doing mode and stepping into the being mode, switching off living on auto pilot and returning to living in the here and now.

Mindfulness life dandelion clock 7Noticing our world around us, and how we react to that world. Using mindfulness living to reconnect with our bodies and the sensations they experience, using all of our senses to be aware of the present moment.

Wellbeing does not mean being happy all of the time and it does not mean that we will not experience painful emotions such as loss, grief or failure, all a part of normal life. Mindfulness can help us to live a mentally balanced healthier life, enabling us to cope more efficiently when those difficult times do and will arise.

Mindfulness when practiced gives us a more positive outlook on life, giving us a calmer mind, reducing stress and anxiety. When we function well individually our ability to understand ourselves and others is greatly improved leading us to have positive relationships with the other people in our lives.
